Our team is excited to share the new Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals’ (GGFYP) logo and website. AE2S Communications worked with the GGFYP’s Executive Director, President, Vice President to develop a new, vibrant look for the organization.
To kickoff this project, the team created a digital survey that was sent out to all members, shared on social media, and included in the GGFYP digital newsletter. Based on the survey, it was clear that the brand was no longer resonating with members and the website was not at its full potential.
The previous logo was designed an unknown number of years ago. GGFYP leadership and members felt that it no longer represented the dynamic organization. In fact, most of the survey respondents gave the current logo a “D” on the grading scale.
A new logo was designed using the blue from the past branding, along with adding green and gray to create a vibrant spectrum of color. The full logo with Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals spelled out will be used most of the time, but the organization also plans to use only the hexagon with GGFYP, as many members within the organization call it. This version of the logo will be used in familiar settings or when space is limited, such as social media profile images.
Additionally, a new WordPress website was developed. The team used results from the survey to determine what features were most important to GGFYP members. Based on the survey, members wanted a better calendar, easy to find information about the organization, and a streamlined sign up process. Kathryn Kester, GGFYP Executive Director said, “Working with the AE2S Communications team on the GGFYP rebrand and website development was an incredible experience. The intentionality behind every step helped ensure that the final products would represent the young professionals we serve and the mission we work to carry out each day. All the final products have truly given GGFYP a whole new look and feel. We know that our brand represents our people.”
For the AE2S Communications team leading the project, it was a project that was close to their heart since they are young professionals themselves. Taylor Corbett and Zack Otteson lead the brand development and are also GGFYP members themselves.
We look forward to seeing where the organization takes this new brand!
