What’s Cooler Than Cool? The Grand Forks Region.

IT GETS COLD HERE, BUT THAT’S COOL!

This initiative was a county wide public and private entity effort that was requested by local HR professionals, who needed a way to share with future employees what life really is like in the region. Playing on the personality of the region, its people, and of course, the weather, AE2S Communications developed the theme Greater Grand Forks: Way Cooler Than You Think!

DATA-DRIVEN RESULTS

The team used analytics to measure the campaign’s success. By June of 2020, the campaign had more than 8.5 million digital impressions with 358,080 print impressions. As of 2021, the campaign hashtag #GFisCooler has been used on Instagram almost 14,000 times. This paired with career fairs, community events, and word of mouth has made this campaign a staple in the region.

The team used previous data from the City and HR professionals’ experiences and focus groups to develop the authentic brand that embraces living in the Grand Forks region. The team developed a website, a tool kit that was shared with local business, social media, digital advertising, booth, and other cooler materials that authentically showcase why living in the Greater Grand Forks region is Way Cooler Than You Think.
