As a communications and marketing team within a civil engineering firm, AE2S Communications is called upon to assist many of the firm’s clients with public outreach. From explaining the effects of drought and flooding to illustrating the infrastructure improvements to address these problems, our team has done it all.
North and South Dakota are home to two prominent water supply projects that aim to mitigate the effects of future drought conditions affecting half of each state. AE2S Communications has assisted the Red River Valley Water Supply Project and Western Dakota Regional Water System with outreach to the public, landowners, lawmakers, and the cities or rural water systems that will benefit when construction is completed.
AE2S Communications serves as an extension of staff to the Garrison Diversion Conservancy District and Lake Agassiz Water Authority, the co-sponsors of the Red River Valley Water Supply Project. The project will deliver an emergency and supplemental water supply from the Missouri River to drought-prone areas of central and eastern North Dakota. Since 2017, our public information services have included communications plan development; news releases and RRVWSP quarterly newsletter; media tracking to monitor public relations efforts; content marketing; social media management; event coordination; website design, videography, photography, and graphic design.
AE2S Communications develops a strategic communications plan annually to guide the outreach efforts for the Western Dakota Regional Water System, a project with a goal of providing a high-quality, reliable water supply to western South Dakota. Since 2022, the team has overseen the development of content, campaigns, events, video production and outreach aimed at educating multiple audiences about the threat of drought in western South Dakota and how Western Dakota Regional Water System will mitigate the devastating effects of drought.
